__________________________________________________________
I was born on the same day as Hitler and William Shakespeare. I like to think I’m in excellent company.
An angry parent in high school once said that all I knew was gossip and the devil. I stole the phrase and never said thank you.
I am a recent graduate of Oklahoma State University with a B.A. in English with an emphasis on creative writing. While attending OSU, I had the honor of studying under one of the greatest poets of our time, Ai. One of the prominent fiction figures in recent history, Toni Graham, kicked my ass in all of my fiction classes, and taught me techniques I’m still using to this day.
Current publications include The Poet’s Place (Outskirts Press) and The Great American Poetry Show (Muse Media), and journals such as Papyrus (Oklahoma State University Press) and Cram (via chicagopoetry.com), as well as the recipient of various poetry awards and scholarships from Northern Oklahoma College.
I currently reside in Tulsa, OK, where a one bedroom apartment houses every aspect of modern.orphan.designs with the help of one very, very patient roommate.
